这是坐落在柬埔寨的首都金边市中心的一套以可持续为理念进行设计的顶层复式公寓。

此次设计是对一套位于湄公河畔不远处的顶层公寓建筑进行翻新再造，而公寓原先的设计承袭的是上世纪五十年代的当地高棉风格。

我们面对的客户是一对年轻的从事创新领域的外籍夫妇。

公共楼梯的设计将公寓划分为两个独立的微单元，为了创建出在使用上的不同可能性：主人可以邀请朋友来此聚会，为他们提供完全私密的空间享受。也可以为那些想要通过短期暂住了解最真实的当地生活的旅行者提供Airbnb上的选择。再或者独立的单元设计还可以为夫妻之间提供一种新的生活方式，在同一个屋檐下，但仍有各自独处的时间。

每个单元都设有独自通往屋顶平台的楼梯，同时还配备了单独的餐厅和卫浴区域。

屋子前端的单元正对着172大街，是一条很受旅客们喜爱的观光街道有很多酒吧和餐馆，同时后方单元面对着皇家宫殿公园和湄公河。

整个设计有个很棒的亮点是通过使用当地的再生木材和钢材制作出专属于客户的独一无二的家具，从而营造出围绕着当地元素和木质朴素的复式风格。

从地下室进入室内，向上走到四层，可以从楼梯间看到邻居们正过着简朴但不失格调的本地生活方式。

到达最顶层并走入其中，给人的第一感觉是将对生活欣赏的感觉和设计感完美的融合在一起。屋子前端的单元有个别出心裁的设计将实用性融入其中：在阳台的用餐区设计者使用扶手作为长的餐桌使用帮助客户能够节省用餐时间，保持健康的生活。

起卧区域包括了一个隐秘的滑动板箱，可以给主人提供一块区域在白天也可以冥想或者做SPA。

楼上设置了健身区，里面包括了电力板块机、瑜伽垫、弹力带、abs卷以满足每天的健身锻炼需求。

阳台同样也可以作为起居室使用，郁郁葱葱的热带树木围绕着，特别适合夫妻之间的闲聊和相处。

背面单元（大概30平方米的空间）主要用于让主人放松和养神：公园的美景通过巨大的推拉门窗映射进来，卧床正对着公园并且身后的餐桌可以抽出用于享用早餐，之后放回原处可以起到节省空间的作用；衣橱、书架和电视机都是经过设计使他们整体化，将空间最大化。楼梯下的长椅可以用于阅读同样也可以坐在窗边享受阅读时刻。

阳台的上方种植了大片的兰花和绿萝，还有一只面朝着公园的热水泳池，都可以在炎热的天气里为屋子提供清新的感觉。

整个顶层公寓的设计还了一套新型的自定义彩色LED灯，结合了天然的蜡烛灯和不同香味的香薰扩散器。

Sustainable design penthouse in downtown Phnom (Cambodia)

The design consisted of a renovation of a rooftop apartment in a local Khmer 1950s building not far from the Mekong riverside in Phnom Penh.

The client was a young expatriate couple working in creative field.

The public stairs split the apartment in 2 independent micro units in order to create different possibilities of use:  inviting friends and let them feel totally in privacy, short term renting on airbnb for travellers that want something authentic or just for the couple itself when they want to spend some time alone but being still together as new way of living relationships.

Each unit has its own access to the roof terrace upstairs and has its own bathroom and kitchen area.

The front side unit is facing the street 172 a popular tourist street having a lot of bars and restaurants,

While the back side unit facing the royal palace park and Mekong River.

Design wise the idea was to use local reclaimed wood and steel  and create custom made unique furniture that embrace local elements  and rustic-loft  style.

Entering from the ground floor and going up until the 4^th floor, from the stairs the neighbours are living their life in simplicity but with dignity in a very local way.

Arriving at the top floor entering in the space, the first feeling is a fusion of design with a sense of appreciation for life.

The design doesn’t want to show off shining materials or super expansive accessories but with its simplicity and natural approach will let you find inner peace.

The front side unit has an interesting solution in terms of functions melted together unconventionally: the dining area in the balcony using the handrail as long desk help the clients on spending less time eating and living an healthier life.

The sleeping area is included in a sliding panel box that allows privacy and can also become an area for meditation or spa during daytime.

Upstairs a gym area with power plate machine yoga carpet stretch bands and abs roll provides an everyday fitness exercise lifestyle.

The terrace becomes also where the real living room is, and surrounded by lush tropical trees provide a perfect place for the couple to communicate and spend time together.

The back unit (around 30 square meters) is dedicated to relaxation and tranquillity: the view of the park is entering inside the room thanks to a very large sliding door windows,  the bed is facing the park and in the back there are table and chairs that can be extracted and used as breakfast area then put them back again in order to save space;  clothes cabinet, bookshelves and  tv are all designed and integrated to maximise the space. A bench under the staircase can be use as reading area and the same for the arm chair near the window.

The terrace above is an oasis of orchid plants and a hot tub that faces the park will add some refreshment during the hot time of the day.

Overall the penthouse has a very new system of custom colours led lighting combined with natural candles lights and aroma diffusers with different fragrances.
