Zhuang is the most populous of the many minorities in Guangxi known for their humble and hospitable culture. As agriculture is their main source of livelihood, the boisterous people of the Zhuang tribe pay tribute to the entire process of cultivation and harvest with music and dance. The bronze drum brings the rain for irrigation, the dragon dance and fireworks to harvest celebration and the street feast to enjoy the fruits of their labour.
The design narrative of Renaissance NanNing is the story of the Zhuang tribe starting from the raining season to the celebration of harvest. Scenes unfold themselves as guests journey through the hotel.
公共区域讲述的是丰收的故事,而客房楼层则讲述的是壮族编织工艺的故事。不同的编织技术用不同的元素来诠释。在电梯厅,光线通过蓝色和红色的窄束光线重叠而交织在一起。这交织的光线贯穿整个走廊,与走廊的编织地毯相呼应。从像素化的电梯门玻璃墙到每个客房入口的投影,扶桑花—南宁市花依稀可见。 Whilst the public areas tell the narrative of harvest, the guestroom floors tell the story of the weaving craft of the Zhuang people. The different techniques of weaving are interpreted using different elements. At the lift lobby, light is woven by casting narrow beams of blue and red rays to overlap. This interwoven light runs through the whole corridor, echoing the woven carpet of the corridor. Fusang – the city flower of NanNing is faintly discernible from the pixilation on the glass wall of the lift doors to the projection at every guestroom entrance.
编织的概念一直延续到客房内部,解构后的编织图案不仅体现在地面铺装,背景墙和地毯,在灯光的处理上也大放异彩。 The concept of weaving continues into the interior of the guest room, where the deconstructed woven pattern is not only reflected in the floor tiles, background wall and carpet, but also yield unusually brilliant results in the treatment of the lighting.
